Holiday Soap Taste Test

When I first smelled the Candy Cane soap I couldn't put it down.  It is such an incredible peppermint soap that I just couldn't believe it was soap.  Now, I am fully aware that these are vegan soaps but soaps none the less.  The intense smell got the best of me and I licked it.  That's right, I licked it.  I just had to make sure...  So, how do they rate?  On a scale of 1-10, Scent = 11.  Taste = 3.5.  (I would rather have had my mouth washed out with this than any other soap on the market, hands down.)

Gingerbread has an incredible cookie-like smell.  I am proud to say I resisted the urge to eat this one, although it completely reminds me of the holidays and making gingerbread houses.  So the ratings, Scent = 11.  Taste = N/A. 

These had to be sold as a two pack as it was to hard for me to choose which one I liked more!  If you purchase these today, and I urge you to do so, come back and let me know if you were able to resist the taste test.  :)

The Freaky 5K

HipGreenDeals.com had the honor of sponsoring The Freaky 5K on Halloween.  It took place at City North in Phoenix, AZ.  Hundreds of people came out in their costumes to run, walk, and enjoy the beautiful weather.  After the race there were all kinds of activities... trick-or-treating, face painting, Halloween movies, horse rides, pumpkin painting, balloon animals and the list goes on.  The second place finishers for men and women took home prizes from HipGreenDeals.com

This little monkey took advantage of all the trick-or-treating and activities after the race.  She had her face painted, a balloon animal and a pumkin full of candy.

My little golfer was wiped out by the end!  It was such a blast!  We can't wait to go back next year.

Halloween is Almost Here

I am pretty excited for Halloween this year for two reasons. 

1. My son's costume is finally finished and he is going to be the cutest golfer!  (Pictures to come!)

2. The Freaky 5K is happening in Phoenix!  This is one of the best halloween events I have ever heard of!  Runners and walkers get to dress up in costumes and complete a 5K, trick or treating along the way.  How cool is that?  It gets better... after the 5K it's a fun family event with activities galore!  If you are in the Phoenix area you have to check out their website, www.freaky5K.com.  If you register for the 5K by October 20th, you are entered to win $100.  If that's not incentive enough, HipGreenDeals.com is one of the sponsors for the event and if you go, you have a chance to win some great stuff!

I Heart Fall

I am so excited for fall!  We had a family gathering this past weekend and the first pumpkin pie of the season made its debut!  Mind you it is still 100+ degrees here in Phoenix, but we have made it through the hottest part of summer.  Cooler temps are just around the corner...
